In the upper right corner of the MedList, the Rx+ button will allow you to add a prescription.
You will be presented with the Rx entry screen. Begin typing to search through the entire FDA database of medications. When you see the medication name, touch it on the list to select it. You do not need to complete typing the name. If the medication you wish to prescribe is not in the database, type the full name then press either "Add" or "Go" to select it and add it to your custom medication database.
Touch the desired dose on the list. If the desired dose is not in the database, type the new dose with units and press either "Add" or "Go" to add it to your custom database. Note: custom doses are Rx specific.
Sig selection screen. Touch the quantity you wish to prescribe from the left column or touch "Range" to be presented with a keypad from which you may enter the desired range. To select a frequency (sig), begin typing to search sig list. Touch desired Sig when it appears. If the desired Sig is not already in the database, type new Sig and tap "Add" or "Go."
Dispense entry screen. Use the keypad to enter the quantity you wish to dispense. Press "Enter."
Unit selection. Begin typing to search through the preloaded database. Touch desired Unit to select. If the Unit you wish to prescribe is not in the database, type it and tap either "Add" or "Go" to add it to the database.
Dx entry screen. Begin typing to search through the preloaded database of indications. When visible tap the desired indication. If the indication you wish to prescribe is not in the database, type it in full then press either "Add" or "Go" to dd it to the database. This is optional for submitting an Rx, but is strongly recommended. Note: an ICD code or any other code meaningful to you may be entered.
Completed prescription creation form. Scroll down to reveal other adjustable options such as refills, notes, and additional Dx entry spaces. Note: the default refill count is zero. Press Save.
